[ Poor Peter, he's going to be absolutely sickened off tea for the rest of his days, at that rate.
It's been a complicated thing, this bond. It was done out of necessity, the need and want to keep Peter, to stop him being forced out or away from his own body. It was a love for Peter that pushed her to offer the bond with Paimon. It wasn't something she went into completely gladly, though. Of course she was glad to help Peter, but she's a teenager who comes from a world where demon possibly don't even exist, tying herself to a powerful demon of another world when she barely knew what do even do with that.
And it's been a struggle, trying to learn how to carry the weight of it. Learning how to navigate a relationship with the demon, trying to work out together how best to help the demon feel balance, some kind of peace with himself as he exists so brokenly with Peter. It's never been easy, though there has been pleasant moments. And sometimes even Luna has to admit to herself that she's felt out of her depth with it all.
But she has, over time, come to be protective of Paimon. He's a being in his own right, despite the less than straight-forward existence he has. Even if he isn't what he's supposed to be, he is something more than she, something beyond humans — a force that should be respected and treated with dignity. She understands he's been bent to the wills of others before her, twisted into something violent and malicious when it's not been something she's ever read in any of her research. He's been used incorrectly; she has sympathy for him.
And with that, a determination to not let him be used like that again. She does care for him, too. Their relationship might be something widely different to the one she has with Peter, but there's still a care for him. In some ways he's fragile, too. There's a want to protect him from others who don't have his best interests at heart, but to also try her best to let him be his own being. She might be here to keep him tethered, but she's not here to smother him. He's not a child; she has to trust him to make his own choices. ]
I know you've been very sorry about what happened. [ What happened back in Deerington was awful, and she knows how much he's regretful of what happened, of what he did to her. ] I do believe you when you say that, that you don't want it to ever happen again.
[ But the matter of him trying to protective himself is... difficult. She is more worried about the fact Maul may try to use Paimon somehow, and she doesn't want that. Luna's quiet for a few moments, her expression shifting to a quiet thoughtfulness as she wonders how best to advise him. ]
Consider carefully anything he asks of you. You're under no obligation to do anything and everything Maul says. [ Maul is no witch or mage, even if he does have this ability of his with this Force. ] If you ever feel doubt, please ask for help. If he tries to make you feel bad, feel guilt, or shame for not immediately doing as he asks — you are allowed to walk away.
[ Maul doing something by force is... also worrisome. But would Maul really try the same thing again? Or would he be cautious of her doing something else along the lines of his current curse? Luna doesn't know.
There's a little pause when he speaks again: You are my witch. My best. You are very kind to me, and.....I wish to be with you always. It's... actually quite sweet, in a way? Luna's oddly touched by the statement. Paimon's complimented her before, but there's something in this that gives her a quiet sense of tender gratitude. She does try her best, tries the best she can. There's a little smile at her lips when she speaks: ]
I do promise I'll always do my best for you. To always try to give you purpose and help you in whatever way I can. You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
[ A look of curiosity appears in her eyes as he stops and slowly reaches to cup his ears — something's happening but she's not quite sure what. Until Paimon whispers to her in his stunned uncertain. She blinks, quite surprised. His... ears are buzzing...? Luna frowns, reaching up to gently move one hand away and touch his ear. They looks a little darkened in colour, feel warm to the touch and Luna pulls her hand away with widening eyes: oh. ]
... Peter sometimes.... does that. [ Mostly when he's around her, when he's shy or bashful. Although it leaves her reeling for a moment as to why Paimon's the one who's doing it. Especially something as human as that. She knows the demon thinks so highly of her, but this has... certainly never happened before. ]
It's a... normal bodily reaction to things, though.
he got the demon dokidokis (also this was unnecessarily long)
