Trust me, I'm glad to be back to being me again, too.
[Willow smiles with relief and gratitude. She had thought Luna was likely to understand, especially with her own brush with beasthood only a few months ago.]
Sorry I've been out of touch. I got back stuck in Puck's body, and then the house got burned down, and I got shot, and... just the chaos of, you know, the everything.
[She sighs. July had been a lot. Far too much murder, and death and destruction, and far too much of it that she still feels responsible for. She takes a deep breath.]
I should've put a stop to things before it ever got as far as it did. Are you okay?
... You were trapped in your... Omen? [ That's a thing? Luna didn't know that was a thing? Everything else there is just... A Lot, but that part certainly snags at her attention.
But yes, of course she understands. Corruption and Beasthood do make them do things they wouldn't do ordinarily, and while she may know the guilt that still comes from that — everyone had largely been very understanding with her. The least she can do is be understanding in return when it comes to someone else. ]
You didn't know what you were getting into with him. He lied to you. [ Luna bristles a little, she's still deeply angry with John. She huffs softly. ]
... I had a Prophecy about it, but it was too late to do anything to stop it.
Yeah. It was - it was weird. Something John tried to do to help me stop wolfwalking - so at night, I'd join Puck instead of taking a wolf form. I don't know if coming back that way was Mariana's way of saying that was a mistake, or if it just... happened. Ange helped undo it, so I'm totally back to myself again.
[She shrugs a little - she can't deny she had been lied to, even subtly perhaps, but she still fell for it. It was far too easy to fall in line with someone who offered solutions to the problems she had been trying to resolve for months, even when she probably should have realized what was happening.]
Yeah, well. I should've seen through it.
[A small humourless smile crosses her face as Luna mentions the Prophecy.]
It sounds like you and Qrow should talk - he had a vision too, about me being in danger. That was why Oscar was there to begin with.
[The smile fades into something more concerned. Killed by Chara, Oscar still hasn't returned from the ocean, and Willow has been very worried for him.]
Things have... certainly been a little strange, with everything.
[ Now that she thinks about it. Especially at the mention of Mariana. Was it maybe part of her ire? The Patron causing difficulties with Sleepers in some form or another. Mariana does have sway over... well, life and death of them. Willow isn't the only one, Peter's been... different this last month too. And she's doesn't mean for the fact they had a massive fight and he left. ]
No one likes to believe they're being lied to. [ There's a glum look, quietly sympathetic.] And considering what he's like, I've spoken to him.
[ Well, smashed him into several trees but — there was also a conversation. There's a kind of charisma to him, in a way. If Luna didn't already know what he was like, she might have been charmed too. ]
That might be an idea. I wonder if his come out of nowhere too.
[ ... oh, no. That doesn't sound good. She doesn't know Oscar well, but Peter does. ]
... He hasn't returned from the ocean? After all this time?
Yeah... Strange is one way to put it. I mean, even by Trench standards, I think this goes a little above and beyond.
[At least, struggling to cope with the fallout from it all, things feel more normal. She feels more like herself than she has in ages.
She sighs and gives a little nod in agreement. No, no one likes to be lied to, or tricked, but sometimes she wonders what his intentions really were; if he really intended it to end in a whole bunch of corruption and death, or if he saw the possibility, and just charged forward regardless of the consequences.]
Yeah. He was the one who found me after I got back from the ocean back in March. He was really very kind to me then. Said we were friends. It was easy to trust him, even if he wouldn't give out his name. I figured it was just something customary from his world or something - given, you know, an infinite amount of universes mean an infinite number of possibilities.
[She gives a little shrug regarding Qrow, and the nature of his visions.]
I'm not really sure how they work. He's never mentioned getting any warnings before they come on, though. Not to me, anyway.
And no, nothing at all yet from Oscar. Hopefully soon. I'm starting to get a little worried about him.
No worries, I've been slow lately too.
