[ He remembers her very vaguely, from some brief comment on the network. But Varian sent him to Ruby and Ruby's sent him here, so. ]
Luna, this is Jonathan Sims. Ruby suggested I direct some questions to you, regarding what she called the Green Demon. It sounds as though it threatened her in the Great Sleep, but wasn't as aggressive towards you.
Would you be able to describe your experience with it?
[ She remembers him too. But more recently, she'd seen him in one of the videos used as 'evidence' against Fern in Monokuma's trials. Luna is... cautious, seeing as she's being asked about the demon inside of Fern (who she's now named Phthalo) and... there isn't a very good track record here. Fern's her friend, and she's become quite protective of him in her own way -- considering there's just so much to unpack with him. ]
Hello, Mr. Sims.
That seems to be the case with her, yes. But... 'as aggressive'? Oh, no. He wasn't at all aggressive with me when I encountered him. He was actually very nice. We got on very well.
[ This baffles him. He stares at the text in almost annoyed disbelief for a long moment, suspicious. But if this is anything like the Web, perhaps he shouldn't be surprised; the thing had sounded cordial, in his own mind. Gentle and supportive in its recommendations that he cut down his enemies. ]
I see. Did he speak to you?
Do you have any idea why your experiences were so different?
[ If he's already annoyed, then he won't find much to change that in what she says next. ]
Oh, yes. We chatted for quite a bit. He came with me as I journeyed through the Great Sleep. Like a little adventure, really. It was nice.
I couldn't say. [ While it might come off as 'she has no idea', she absolutely has every idea. Fern's her friend, and that friendliness seems to extend to the demon. But she's keen to keep information to herself. ] I tend not to question when creatures and beings treat me kindly. I suppose I'm just quite used to dealing with them.
[ It was nice. On his end of the conversation, Jon is deeply exasperated. This gives him very little. Not nothing, though; the Great Sleep is the constant. The creature must originate there. ]
[ There's a pause as she considers what to say. Much of the conversation was about what he was, exactly. And relating to Fern. Things she doesn't want to tell Jon, things she doesn't trust him with.
But she can give him something, maybe. Enough to keep him at bay. ]
For the most part, trying to come up with a name for him. He doesn't have one. So I gave him one.
And that I can't drive a car but I can ride a broom. He found that interesting, I think.
