[AS] A letter.
Dearest Sherlock and John,
Despite the fact we're all British and I suppose we don't particularly celebrate, I wish you both a very happy Thanksgiving. I hope when this letter finds you, you are both well and that you enjoy the holiday in New York.
I'm rather sorry I haven't been in contact much. I've been spending a great deal of time in the libraries here in Chicago. It's very easy to get lost within research.
Unfortunately, my research so far has been in vain. There appears to be no written records of Rifts or any strange phenomena that has happened here. I haven't found Kashtta Tower either.
I found some recent academic work on the River Hudson and have found a few people who have jumped into the Hudson and attained powers and then since left New York, but that appears to be it. There are no angels or demons here either, nor are their records on them ever being here. Maybe there are angels and demons here. They're just hiding, very secretive. It's very strange. I've never known Chicago to be so peaceful.
No sign of Ginny or anyone else from our Chicago, but I'm not too disheartened. I'm sure they'll turn up eventually.
I know I'm a very long way away, but please don't worry about me. I'm taking care of myself and staying safe. I was taken in by a lovely elderly couple for Thanksgiving. They're very nice, and they don't seem too bothered about the fact I'm a Witch.
I'm staying here a little longer yet, but I promise I'll be back soon. Hopefully for Christmas!
I miss you both.
All my love,
Luna.

Apparently the tradition here is to eat dry, tasteless turkey and I can't find a goose anywhere. From the sounds of it it is not a common food even at Christmas so unless you can come back in time to make us one this will be a bleak holiday.
It's interesting that the phenomenon in this world appear to extend only to the river. I wish I had thought to ask American Wanderers while we were there if they had heard of the Kashtta. It would have been interesting to know if that was a unique feature to that Chicago. I can't say I miss the angels and demons.
Take care who you tell you're a witch. You might think Chicago is safe but it could still prove dangerous for you. I'm not explaining anything to Ginny if you get yourself hurt before she arrives and you know she will blame me no matter what I do so I'll thank you to save me the trouble.
Come back soon. Aside from the plague it's been dull here.
Regards,
Sherlock
