Honestly the travel has been great. I've got to travel between two continents and before I ended up here I was on my way to a third. And the Grimm are trouble but that's why they have groups like my team around.
We're not at a hundred percent official yet, but we're definitely living the life.

From what I understand there were humans before that could do it but they were wiped out ages upon ages ago. Now we've mostly got us non-magical humans around along with the few exceptions but that's complicated.

I'd like to do that, one day. Travel. I'm interested in creatures, animals. I'd like to travel all over the world and look for them so I can study them. [ Essentially, continue the very important work Newt began. ] Do you have to do something special to become 'official'?

[ She can understand magical people being wiped out. It's happened in her own world, too. Hundreds of years ago now — the very reason why her kind did go into hiding. To protect both wizarding communities and the poor Muggles who were hurt in the process. ]
A bit like that, yes. Only it's not as easy as you think it might be. [ It's a struggle for a long of wizards unused to the non-magical world. ] Muggles, non-magical people, have different technologies and such. All their things run on electricity, like in Deerington.
I'd highly recommend it. I just hope you get to do it under better circumstances then I did. I like the idea of studying animals way better then trying to find the culprits who left your school in ruins.
There's a licencing exam I can take at some point. Since I've already had some training and more unofficial on the job training, I should be good when I get the chance to go for it.

It was a planned attack. There's a tournament held every few years at one of the schools. It was our turn this time around. A group pretending to be students from one of the other Academies infiltrated our school and used the event to cause a panic and attract the Grimm and bring down Beacon. It's more complicated then that but that's the basics.
Once I got back on my feet I left to go track down the people that did it. I've been on the road ever since.
Well maybe when I get home and get to Atlas I'll give it a shot and see if I can make the title official. It would definitely be cool.
Kind of? It's a stone that can be ground into powder. Raw dust tends to be a single element like fire or lightning, but it can be combined to have a variety of different effects. Basically everything in our world is powered by the stuff.
It's kind of like magic but it has more predictable effects when used.

So it's something tangible? That's so fascinating! Magic for us when we use to power things, it's not some kind of energy you can feel in that way. It's just... there. But it's something that comes from within us, I suppose really we're the ones powering things.
